Dr. Field discovered early on that he had a talent for working with his hands, and found that orthopedics and sports medicine provided the opportunity to devote his skills to injury repair and rehabilitation. During his Fellowship studies, he developed a special interest in spine surgery. Spine injuries and deformities rank as some of the most severely crippling disorders, and are also some of the most difficult to treat. Focusing on sports injuries, spine surgery, and long-term rehabilitation, Dr. Field has devoted his practice of orthopedics to helping people who suffer from these complicated conditions.

Among Dr. Field’s many professional appointments has been that of Clinical Instructor in Orthopedics at the USC School of Medicine. Throughout his career, Dr. Field has gained a reputation for taking on complex and challenging cases. Each year he receives numerous referrals from fellow orthopedic surgeons who send him their most enigmatic cases for evaluation and treatment. By utilizing pain management techniques Dr. Field has affected positive change in many lives. He has successfully reduced the disability caused bychronic pain, facilitating the return to normal activities and helping patients with debilitating disorders regain control over their lives.

The field is so rapidly-evolving that anything learned a year ago can be outdated, and constant connection with the most up-to-date scientific literature is warranted. Dr. Jafari is particularly privileged in this aspect since she has been trained in the leading neurological centers in the world to which she maintains constant ties, and she meticulously keeps herself updated with the most recent scientific advancements.
